High-performance terminal emulation with portable-pty and xterm.js in BhaiCode Desktop.

BhaiCode Desktop embeds a hardware-accelerated pseudo-terminal (PTY) powered by xterm.js in the UI and portable-pty in the native Rust core.

Features

System Shell Detection: Automatically uses your default system shell:
- macOS: /bin/zsh, /bin/bash, or fish
- Linux: bash, zsh, or custom login shells
- Windows: PowerShell (pwsh.exe / powershell.exe), Command Prompt (cmd.exe), or WSL (wsl.exe)
OSC 133 Command Integration: Visual demarcation of individual command blocks, execution runtimes, and exit status codes.
Background Task Tabs: Run long-lived dev servers (npm run dev, cargo watch, docker compose up) in separate background tabs while continuing to converse with agents.
Split Terminals: Open terminal panes side by side with Cmd + D / Ctrl + Shift + 5.
